PERSON SPECIFICATION
The FMIS programmer will:
- Be an Indonesian citizen with a degree in relevant field (e.g. Engineering or Computer Science or such ) but should a suitable candidate not be quickly available the Company reserves the right to source from elsewhere;
- If new graduate, have at least 12 months intern experience in real world business organisation working on IT systems, ideally in plantation or natural resource situation;
- If already working, have recent relevant business experience in IT and scripting in relevant organisation (e.g., in other HTI or agricultural, survey etc. organisation);
- Qualified, certified “computer programmer” with excellent command of OS/applications (Minimal WIN, Linux) system design concepts as well as scripting languages (SQL, C+, BASIC, 4GL concepts etc.)
- It would be an advantage to have proven experience in web design for future intranet developments;
- Ideally, be a not only an excellent tidy programmer, but good system design person also;
- A good command of spoken and written (technical) English would be helpful as a lot of technical material is only available in this language;
- Experience in linking to other systems (e.g. Accounting) desirable;
- Comprehension/Exposure to FMIS type system concepts, forestry operations, remote sensing GIS survey and mapping projects in natural resources in Indonesia, preferably with HTI exposure desirable;
- Be pro-active, in working with the Team so meeting operational and reporting targets routinely without drama;
- Fit and healthy.
